Inclisiran is primarily used to reduce low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia or atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. By inhibiting PCSK9 production in the liver, Inclisiran enhances the liver’s ability to remove LDL cholesterol from the bloodstream, offering a new approach for lipid management, especially for patients intolerant to traditional statins or requiring additional LDL reduction.
